Our story begins in 1982 when Dad’s family began commercial fishing in Bristol Bay, Alaska. Within a few years, he decided to invest in his own commercial fishing permit. At the young age of 15, Ron was operating his own set net site. Year after year, Ron grew his operation into what is now Westside Wild Salmon.
Along the way, Ron married his incredible wife, Crystal, and they had three children, Jaclyn, Morgan, and Calvin. Now, all the children have grown up and have families of their own! Each summer, the family gathers from all over the country to get back to their Alaskan roots.
As the family grows, so does the business. Westside Wild Salmon is expanding into the direct-to-consumer sales market, with regional sales in Texas, Oklahoma, Arkansas, North Carolina, and Virginia. By expanding into sales, we are able to bring fresh, clean, nutrient-rich Alaskan salmon straight to your door. We aim to bring you the highest quality salmon you can get your hands on.

RON & CRYSTAL
For more than 30 years, Ron and Crystal have spent their summers fishing the waters of Bristol Bay. Over the years, they’ve built a life around the fishery, raised their family on the waters, and passed down the knowledge, hard work, and love for fishing that has been part of their family for generations. Now, they’re helping the next generation carry that tradition forward while growing the family business in a new direction.
From commercial fishing in Bristol Bay to bringing their wild-caught Alaskan salmon directly to families across parts of the U.S., Ron and Crystal are making it possible to share a piece of their life on the water with friends and family thousands of miles away.

Preston and Jaclyn (Ron and Crystal’s oldest daughter) have four daughters - Lilly, Molly, Kelly and Ally. They oversee the fish processing plant. They currently live in Anchorage, AK and work with our sales team.

SPENCER & MORGAN
Spencer and Morgan (Ron and Crystal’s middle daughter) have four kids - Easton, Klayton, Ryleigh and Emberly. They currently live in High Point, NC and are our east coast distributors.
CALVIN & CHANDLER
Calvin (Ron and Crystal’s son) and his wife, Chandler, have four kids: Hadley, Hazel, Bennett, and Levi. Calvin oversees the summer fishing operations. They currently live in Dallas, TX, and deliver to our southeast locations.
